Mallam Subramanya Swamy Temple was built in 16th century. This temple is located in Mallam Village in Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. The interesting part of the temple is Vasantha Mandapam. Which was built in the form of Chariot drawn by a pair of horses. The temple Mandapam was built on 100 pillers roof cutting corridor. Ramayana & Maha Bharatha epics were sculpted on the pillers.

According to the legends, once king Kulathunga Pandya Bhupathi went to forest for hunting, saw the bamboo sticks which were grown over the anthill and make a palangu in out of this sticks. Anthills was grown over Subramanya Swami who was doing penance for many years. King ordered to his servents to collect bamboo sticks, unknowningly chopped Subramanya Swamy hands. Lord Subramanya appeared in the kings dream and order to him to construct a temple to rid of the committed sin. From then onwards the king used to offers his first prayer to Lord Subramanya before starting their day.
